Product Overview

Step Type Fine Screen for automatic wastewater screening

The Step Type Fine Screen from ArCh Enviro is a precision-engineered mechanical screening system designed for fine solids removal in sewage and effluent treatment plants. With a step-wise screening action, it ensures uninterrupted filtration and protects downstream equipment from clogging and wear.

For primary coarse screening, you may consider our Multirack Screen as a pre-treatment solution before this fine screen.

Applications

ArCh Enviro’s Step Type Fine Screen is commonly used in:

For compact installations or budget-conscious sites, our Manual Screen and J-Type Manual Screen offer effective non-motorized screening options.

Technical Specifications

Working Principle

The Step Type Fine Screen operates by capturing suspended solids on a series of interlocking steps attached to two parallel chains. As the chains rotate, each step carries the solids upward in a stepwise motion while the wastewater flows through the open slots. Once the solids reach the top, they are automatically discharged using a mechanical wiper or scraper system. This process ensures uninterrupted operation, minimal clogging, and effective fine screening with low maintenance.

Why Choose ArCh

ArCh Enviro provides a complete range of wastewater treatment equipment for both STPs and ETPs, including aeration, mixing, and sludge handling systems.

Operational Advantages

Frequently Asked Questions

Q1. Is the Step Type Fine Screen suitable for retrofitting in existing plants?
Yes. ArCh Enviro provides custom-built fine screens that can be easily integrated into existing wastewater treatment channels with minimal structural changes.

Q2. How often does the equipment require maintenance?
Thanks to its self-cleaning design, this screen requires only periodic inspection and greasing. For applications that demand even lower maintenance, our Multirack Screen is often preferred for coarse screening.

Q3. Can the screen operate under varying flow conditions?
Yes. The Step Type Fine Screen performs well under fluctuating flow rates, preventing clogging. For integrated screening and conveying in similar conditions, the Screw Screen is also a recommended solution.

Q4. What type of control system is available?
We offer both relay-based and PLC-based automation panels, tailored to your plant’s control preferences. Similar control systems are also used in our Brushing Screen and other mechanical screening solutions.
