Working Principle
The Screw Dehydrator works on a three-stage principle. First, sludge enters the conditioning zone, where solids begin to concentrate. It then flows into a thickening zone, where a slow-moving screw helps separate water. Finally, the dewatering press zone compresses the sludge further, reducing water content. Water drains out through gaps between the discs, while the screw continuously moves solids toward the discharge point, producing a compact sludge cake.
